It is said that Tom Cruise had the script of the Green Lantern film in his hands, but he rejected the leading role because [possible SPOILER].

Can you imagine a great actor in the role of Hal Jordan, for Green Lantern Corps? Someone as big as ... Tom Cruise?

The source is a celebrity gossip site, so the information below could not be considered exactly reliable ... although on the other hand they have hit on other issues in the past. It's a rumor, then.

Apparently, Tom Cruise was at the head of a list of front-line actors to star in the new Green Lantern movie, but supposedly declined it because he learned that Hal Jordan dies, and "did not want to be part of that."

What do we think? After the repeated occasions in which Cruise has declared that he does not need to be a superhero to be loved by his fans as a remarkable action hero, combined with the amazing result in the recent Mission Impossible: Repercussion ... would really need to get involved in the genre of Superheros? What does make us noise, are the talks by Christopher McQuarrie to direct. And then, there's the recent friendship with Henry Cavill ...

Well, the reality is that the scripts of this genre are constantly changing - especially with the constant changes in the DCEU -, so it may be decided not to kill the stellar (assuming it is true), and then Cruise is interested in the paper (remember we reported this rumor in March, so they could have modified the story). That's right: I hope they do not allow you to make creative decisions, as happened with The Mummy!
